Hello family and friends!
This is my first blog ever so bear with me! I thought I would start one so that everyone can stay updated on what I am going to be doing in Greece for the month of June. First of all, I have to say I feel extremely blessed to even have this opportunity. I didn't think it was even going to be possible, but God has provided as He always does.
People have been asking me what I am going to be up to this summer. I say the usual, "oh, I am gonna go back to work at the church, do some summer school...oh, and I am actually going to be studying abroad in Greece...for a month!" Everyone I have told is at first surprised and then jealous. And I have to say, that every time I say it out loud, I am just about as surprised as they are! It is totally surreal and now only one week away...someone pinch me!
I am going on this journey with a group of 15 other students and 2 amazing professors. I don't know everyone super well, but we are all communications majors so I doubt we will have any trouble with conversation. In fact, we had a meeting in April about the trip and the end of the meeting included us all going to eat at a Greek Restaurant...I can say with confidence that this is going to be a great group of people! I am excited to explore Greece with all of them!

I will be taking 5 units which count toward my Managerial and Organizational Communications major. The classes are Intercultural communication and Communications in Greece. When we aren't "in class" we will be touring Athens and the amazing landmarks and history there. We will be staying in 4 person apartments at this place: Check it out!
Alright, I think I have covered all of the basics. I hope you enjoy following me as I make my way through Greece.
Also, one of my professors is blogging about the trip and so is another friend. Those blog URLs are :

So feel free to follow those as well for more great updates and awesome pictures!
Now I would be witty and say "goodbye" in Greek, but I really have no clue how to without going to translate.com and copying and pasting...ha. So it really is all Greek to me! That phrase came about for a reason. Okay, the next post will be from Greece!
